By popular demand, Play Your Hand is continuing through November 4! The Western Folklife Center will continue to host our weekly community event featuring the games people play every Thursday night. Coming up October 28 and November 4: Open Game nights. It's FREE, family-oriented, and fun for all ages. In addition, the Pioneer Saloon bar will open at 5:30 pm with drink specials. The Red Rock Rondo music documentary, produced by the Western Folklife Center in partnership with KUED-TV, has received two Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards. These Emmys are for the best television in a seven-state region.

Let the good times roll this summer at the Western Folklife Center’s monthly Zydeco and Cajun dance nights. Dick and Sandy Sturm will be the DJs, hosts and dance teachers for those who need a little help with the Cajun two-step. Our last dance night will be November 13 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Western Folklife Center, 501 Railroad Street, Elko, and includes dancing lessons.
