Moab has about 8 to 10,000 full time residents and an ever growing number of second home buyers who rent their places out nightly or monthly when they are not here enjoying it. As a Realtor and Property Manager, I also offer Property Management Services to my customers specializing in long term rentals. However, there are really great nightly rental services available here too.
As a Realtor, it is important to me to make sure I listen to the needs of my buyers and sellers and make sure that I am accommodating your needs. I realize I work for you and filling your wish list for your Moab property is what I aim to do. I have served on the GSJAOR board of directors for years and am a member of the NAR and GSJAOR.
As in most smaller cities, it is typical to know the majority of people living in the community. This helps when being a full service agent, selling all types of properties such as commercial, multi family, second home, primary residence, executive homes, the first time home buyer, and don’t forget recreation property.
I grew up in Moab as a child with my parents as well as with my grandparents who owned the only gas station, car lot and apartments on the city block known as McStiff’s Plaza. When I was a child, I spent my time mowing the lawn and cleaning the apartments for my grandmother. My grandparents’ home was the first home built on what is now known as Cedar Hills and my parents’ home was the second.
We moved 60 miles south to Monticello for about 10 years. In 1993, I moved back to Moab as a young adult with my young family to end a 1 hour commute for my husband’s plumbing business. He is the owner of Whipple Plumbing and Heating and Moab Solar. I picked up where my father left off in the Real Estate Business in 1997 as a full time agent after my children went to school and have been there ever since.
In 2011 I sold 50 acres to a group from Poland who wanted to preserve the history of Moab Dinosaur fossils. Known as Moab Giants, this is a unique open air dinosaur track museum coming in spring of 2014 located 9 miles north of town at the junction of Hwy 313 and 191. Paleontologists from all over the world have been coming here for years to explore this unique area that is part of what is called the Dinosaur Diamond and known for hundreds of sites and discoveries of new tracks and fossils.
